The award was presented in collaboration with the firm Credo on May 22, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of the award ceremony, Charles Grandmaison, editor-in-chief of L&#8217;actualit\u00e9, underlined the importance of &#8220;unifying the living forces of our society for the common good\u201d. The Lighthouse is privileged to have a team of change agents who contribute every day to improving the world!<\/p>\n<p>Following this distinction, journalist Marc-Andr\u00e9 Sabourin highlighted the interdisciplinary work culture and the richness of the Lighthouse community in his article <a href=\"http:\/\/lactualite.com\/societe\/le-phare-enfants-et-familles-un-phare-dans-la-nuit\/\">Le Phare Enfants et Familles: un phare dans la nuit<\/a>. He mentions, among other things, that &#8220;once inside, the contagious smile of the employees, the appetizing scents emanating from the kitchen and the living room overflowing with life quickly make us forget that we are in a palliative care hospice for children\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Lighthouse Children and Families authentic culture is also reflected as its values of engagement, respect, goodwill and solidarity are recognized with the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chpca.net\/news-and-events\/the-lighthouse-children-and-families-receives-canadian-compassionate-company-(ccc)-designation.aspx\">title of Compassionate Canadian Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A corporate culture is developed a little bit every day and that is what makes it possible for The Lighthouse to light the way for families across Quebec who have a child with a life-shortening disease.
